I just love 2 year old talk! Isaac saw this katydid in the kitchen and called it a jumphopper. So cute!!! He was scared of it though, I asked him to stand by it so I could take a photo of him with the jumphopper but he was not going to go anywhere near it!!! The other thing as far as language goes with Isaac right now is his American accent! He says Mom, Aha, Mamma and he rolls his r’s e.g carrrrrrrrrr. MIL says he must have picked this accent up in the unit.
And now to the celebration of my blogiversary. I don’t have a lot of visitors but as a thank you to those that do visit I am going to have a little prize draw. There are going to be 3 prizes and below are the photos of the little packs. Considering I have about 6 regular commenters that gives you a 50% chance of receiving some happy mail. But of course it would be nice to have some visitors come out of the woodwork and go in the draw as well!
But you do have to do a little bit of work to go in the draw. Nothing hard so don’t fret….
If you are a scrap booker I would like to know your favourite manufacturer and the scrap booker that most inspires you.
For my non scrap booking visitors (which is probably just Fee and if you win you can give the prize to your Mum if you don’t want it, LOL) I would like to know what your favourite movie is and your current favourtie song.
So come on celebrate with me and tell your friends that might like to know as well.
The packs have a variety of scrappy things in. All have 2 large prima flowers. There are stamps, acrylic stamps, embelishments, paper pad, run ons, velvet flowers etc. Click on each picture to have a closer look. You have until Sunday evening to reply to this post and I will announce the winners on Monday evening. Can’t wait to see if I get more than my regular few loyal visitors!
hehehe love the jumphopper we used to have do do fly’s (butterflys)
Hmmmmmmm fav manufacturer I love a lot of Heidi Grace and Cloud 9, but I really am a random scrapper depends what takes my fancy.
Who inspires me what a hard question everyone does, again it so depends on what takes my fancy although Trina McClune comes up with some fantastic sketches.
I will be in touch about the crop on 10 May, do you want me to book your spot? Can’t wait to meet you
Hugs
Sandra
Love the jump hopper pic but you wouldn’t find me too close and up personal either, just quietly … lol.
Manufacturer – favourite for me – oooohhhhhh, that’s a hard one … love BG and wouldn’t you know it, love Prima with a passion. But sometimes some of the others come out with a range that is to die for [figure of speech] … Cogsmo from Cosmo Cricket … woo hoo.
But the more I think about it … hands up for BG … lol!!!
Scrapbooker … there are so many inspirational scrappers out there … I’m not big on being a names person … I might see an element on a layout and go with it …
love the Jumphopper.
Hmmm manufacturer: hmmmm at the moment making memories cos I so love thier albums and the noteworthy range.
Hmmm Becky Fletch for her sketches because they are fab…and help inspire me. Cathy Z for telling the story. Ali E for her words, I could go on lol.
Jumphopper – awww, that is just adorable!! What a cutie!
Those are pretty cool looking packs!
My favourite manufacturer – probably Basic Grey.
I’m inspired by lots of people – Heidi Swapp is just one.
Jumphopper is a much better name – I vote we change it officially!
Happy Blogiversary.
I can’t readily thing of a favourite manufacturer or scrapper right now. I guess I’m leaning towards Making Memories but kinda feel a little out of the ‘know’ cause it’s been ages since I bought anything.
Lots of different scrappers inspire me. The most recent would be Ali from Embellished.
Hi, I’m coming out from lurking… Always read your blog, but rarely comments. Sorry about that…
Fav manufacturer… Hmmm… MM & MME are two of my favs, but… Yeah, lets go with that – today at least! 🙂
Fav scrapper – gosh, there are so many. Jamie Walters is amazing, although I can NEVER get a page to look anything like hers!
🙂
Oh a jumphopper so sweet, I dont blame him for not going near it smart kid!! I am terrified of crickets, dumb aye ….
Fav manufacture – Wild Asparagus by MME
Fav scrappers – no contest ALI EDWARDS 🙂
hee hee not you have more then six replies, this is cool yvette, thanks so much 🙂
Definitely a Basic Grey fan here. But loving Jenni Bowlin as well.
As for who inspires me, will go with who I did in Debbies CJ and that is Tanya. Lots of great ideas, OTP, sketches – you get the idea and she makes it all look so easy. Also love Nic Howards work as well.
I just love what 2 year olds come up with and David is really trying hard to say stuff and i can’t understand much of it but it is so darn cute!
I would say lots and lots of people inspire me with my scrapping…At the moment Nic Howard and Theresa Collins!
Hee hee – look at all your comments! Offer something free and everyone is in there! I am not a scrapbooker and so would actually have no use for your lovely offer, so I am just here to say I like your blog and read all the time!
Favourite movie: Hairspray
Favourite Song: Luliana – by Te Vaka
xx
That is cute 🙂 The name I mean, not so keen on Katydids. 😉
You are sweet to offer a giveaway Yvette.
I find it hard to nail down favourites, but I’ve consistently been attracted to Basic Grey stuff and Crate. As for inspiration -that is really hard! I love the SBO DT team’s work but really I find inspiration all over the place.
Hi Yvette, thanks for leaving a comment on the PP blog! It was really nice to follow it back and see some of your lovely work! I’m not suprised that Steph Milne picked up something for the mag =). Personally my favourite manufacturer is Sassafrass Lass (right now) and my inspiration Nic Howard although I can never be bothered with as much layers and stitching as she does. I just like how it looks! xx Kate
Jumphoppers!! So perfect!! I had one that I think fell in love with me yesterday… I swear I could not get away from it! 😆
Favourites…. man!!!! Hmmmm….. Scenic Route today. (It’ll be someone else tomorrow!)
And scrap idol…. Cathy Z for her simplicity and stories, Beverley W (yep – that one up there ^) for the way she puts together a page that looks effortless but has lots of detail.
Hey Yvette,
What a great idea, and happy blogiversary. When I got your comment on my page, I thought you were being nice and being encouraging, which of course you were, but when i saw the part about having a look at your blog and there might be a little extra something in for me, you made it sound very intriguing.
What an excellent way to entice ppl to your site!!! Bravo.
As for my favourite manufacturer……to tell you the truth, I dont look at who makes the stuff that I buy, I tend to lean towards the goodies that take my fancy the most. I really couldn’t tell you who makes what. Sorry, guess I flunked that one.
As for inspiration, once again I do not know any of the big names within our niche. My inspiration comes from mainly the photo’s that I work with. What I know about the ppl who are in the photo’s and how they make me feel, and that leads me into the colours and extra’s that are added to a page. If the photo’s are of places, then once again, what the picture is of, and the memories it tends to make me feel, desipheres how the page end up.
I feel like I flunked out on both of those questions, but thanks for coming up with the novel idea.
Happy scrapping all.

LOl! Good idea to have a prize draw – I will copy it.
I’ll also give my answers – it Bazzill Basics and Becky Higgins ……. yes, I know, boring, but that’s me
Love the jumphopper! My boys used to tell me that the trains were “chooking” along …. chook, chook, chook
Hi there … just discovered your blog (via NZ Dares site – liked your LO for She Dare by the way!) 🙂
I like Wild Asparagus and Basic Grey … but also anything else that catches my eye (by the look of my paper stash there’s quite a bit that does that!!!).
And like Jenny E I get inspriration from Becky Higgins too. Probably because she’s younger than me has 2 kids and another on the way and still finds time to do all those awesome LO sketches.
Cheers, Rachel
